Mikumi is the fourth-largest national park, with a landscape of baobabs, black hardwood trees and grassy plains, and the most accessible from Dar es Salaam. With almost guaranteed year-round wildlife sightings, Mikumi makes an ideal safari destination for those without much time. It hosts buffaloes, gnuu, giraffes, elephants, lions, zebras, leopards, crocodiles and endangered wild dogs, and chances are high that you’ll see a respectable sampling of these within a short time of entering the park
ITINERARY
Depart from the hotel just after breakfast and drive to Mikumi National Park, arrive in the afternoon for game drives which takes you till late hours when you drive to the lodge for dinner and overnight. Mikumi National Park Within its 3230 sq km – set between the Uluguru Mountains to the northeast, the Rubeho Mountains to the northwest and the Lumango Mountains to the southeast.

After breakfast full day game drive in a specially modified safari vehicle with a professional Whilst on safari, you can see a rich variety of bird species, as well as large numbers of giraffe, buffalo and elephants. If you are lucky you may also be able to spot lions, leopards and African wild dogs. Likely to be seen animals include zebras, hippos, hartebeest, wildebeest, impala, warthog, eland and antelope. Several observation towers enable you to overview the park in its entirety.

Early morning Game safari which takes you until lunch time when you are driven back to Dar es Salaam where you will be dropped off at the place of your choice.
