ITINERARY
Upon arrival at Kilimanjaro International Airport (JRO) or Arusha Airport (ARK), your driver guide will welcome you and transfer you to Arusha Farm House. Depending on your arrival time, you may explore the city of Arusha, a vibrant hub surrounded by coffee plantations and views of Mount Meru. You can visit cultural and historical attractions such as the Cultural Heritage Centre, the Maasai Market, the Arusha Clock Tower, and the Tanzanite Experience, or stroll through craft shops and local cafés. This first day allows you to rest from your journey while gently immersing yourself in Tanzanian culture. Dinner and Overnight Arusha Farm House
After breakfast, depart for Tarangire National Park, one of Tanzania’s most authentic and less-crowded wildlife destinations. Tarangire is renowned for its large elephant herds and iconic baobab trees, some centuries old. During your full-day game drive, you may see lions, leopards, cheetahs, giraffes, zebras, wildebeest, buffalo, and a variety of antelopes. Birdlife is exceptional, with over 500 species recorded, and the Tarangire River attracts countless animals, especially during the dry season. Enjoy a packed lunch in the park before continuing your afternoon safari. After the day’s adventures, drive to Twiga Lodge for dinner and overnight.
After breakfast, drive to Lake Manyara National Park, a compact yet incredibly diverse reserve nestled between the Rift Valley escarpment and the shallow alkaline lake. The park begins with a lush groundwater forest where large herds of elephants often wander. You may encounter huge troops of baboons and witness the famous tree-climbing lions. The open floodplains are home to wildebeest, zebras, buffalo, and hippo pools, while flocks of flamingos decorate the lakeshore. The hot springs (Maji Moto) add a unique natural attraction along the lakeshore, with geothermal activity creating small bubbling pools. After a full-day game drive, return to Arusha Farm House for dinner and overnight. Meals & Overnight: Breakfast at Twiga Lodge, packed lunch in the park, dinner and overnight at Arusha Farm House.
After breakfast, depart for the foothills of Mount Kilimanjaro to visit Materuni Village. Your guide will take you through coffee and banana farms while introducing you to traditional Chagga culture. Hike to the Materuni Waterfall, enjoying the cool mist, photography opportunities, and optional swimming in the natural pool. Following the waterfall, enjoy a traditional coffee tour where you grind, roast, and brew your own fresh cup. Continue to Kikuletwa (Chemka) Hot Springs, a serene oasis with crystal-clear warm turquoise water perfect for swimming and relaxation. After the excursion, transfer to Kilimanjaro Airport or Arusha Airport for your departure. .
