Tour Introduction

This 4-day Tanzania safari begins in Arusha and takes you through some of Africa’s most iconic wilderness areas, including the Ngorongoro Conservation Area and the legendary Serengeti National Park. Designed for guests who want a rich wildlife experience within a comfortable timeframe, this journey combines breathtaking landscapes, diverse ecosystems, and unforgettable wildlife encounters. You’ll explore savannah plains, crater highlands, and acacia woodlands while guided by a professional safari expert who will help you track the Big Five and many other incredible species. The itinerary balances adventure with comfort, ensuring smooth transfers, quality accommodations, and plenty of time to soak in Tanzania’s natural wonders.

Upon arrival at Kilimanjaro International Airport, you will be welcomed and transferred to your lodge in Arusha. Depending on your arrival time, you may explore the city and visit places such as the Maasai Market, Cultural Heritage Centre, or simply relax at the lodge as you prepare for your safari. Dinner and overnight at Arusha Farm House.

After breakfast, depart for the Serengeti. Your journey takes you through the scenic Ngorongoro Conservation Area. You will stop at the Ngorongoro Crater Viewpoint, where you can enjoy a breathtaking view of the crater floor and take photos. Along the way, expect to pass through lush forests, Maasai villages, and open highlands populated with wildlife such as zebras, buffaloes, and giraffes. As you enter the Serengeti, the landscape opens into vast plains. The game drive begins immediately, and you may see lions resting on rock kopjes, cheetahs hunting on open grassland, elephants, giraffes, and—depending on the season—large herds of wildebeest and zebras. Dinner and overnight at Tukaone Camp.

Begin the day with an early breakfast followed by a half-day game drive in the Serengeti. Early morning is the best time to spot predators such as lions, hyenas, and cheetahs while they are active. The plains come alive with wildlife at this time of day, offering a classic Serengeti experience. In the afternoon, exit the park and continue your journey toward Karatu. The drive takes you through rolling highlands and scenic terrain until you reach your lodge. Dinner and overnight at Eileen’s Trees Inn.

After breakfast, drive back to Arusha. You will be transferred to the airport for your flight home or for your connection to Zanzibar. Breakfast and lunch included.
