Conclude your journey in the enchanting blue city of Chefchaouen, nestled in the Rif Mountains, famous for its blue-washed alleys and artisan traditions. Whether you end in Marrakech or another major city, this tour offers an unforgettable blend of Morocco’s history, landscapes, and culture.
ITINERARY
Your 9-day adventure begins upon arrival at Marrakech Menara Airport. Our driver/guide will greet you and transfer you to your hotel or riad. If you arrive in the morning or early afternoon, you’ll visit the beautiful Majorelle Garden. For late arrivals, enjoy a relaxing evening at your riad and prepare for an exciting city tour the next day.
Begin your guided tour at 09:30 am from your accommodation with a knowledgeable local guide. Visit the Koutoubia Mosque, then explore the vibrant medina and souks, filled with colours, crafts, and daily life. Discover the Bahia Palace, an exquisite example of Moorish architecture with its citrus gardens, followed by a visit to Ben Youssef Madrasa. Continue to either the Majorelle Garden or Le Jardin Secret, and end the tour at Jemaa el-Fna Square, Marrakech’s lively heart. Enjoy free time or a traditional Moroccan lunch before returning to your riad by 4:00 pm. Relax and unwind or dine out for a special Moroccan evening.
Depart Marrakech at 08:30 am, driving through the High Atlas Mountains via the scenic Tizi n’Tichka Pass. Stop at Telouet Kasbah, once a key stop for ancient caravans. Continue through Ounila Valley to reach Aït Benhaddou, a UNESCO World Heritage site and famous film location. After lunch, drive to Ouarzazate for photo stops before heading through the lush Skoura Palm Grove. Arrive at your guesthouse surrounded by kasbahs and palm trees. Enjoy a peaceful evening watching the sunset over the Atlas Mountains.
After breakfast, travel along the Valley of the Thousand Kasbahs towards Tinghir. Visit the breathtaking Todra Gorges, known for their towering rock walls. Continue through Rissani and Erfoud toward the Tafilalet Oasis, then reach Erg Chebbi Dunes in Merzouga. Take a camel ride across the golden dunes to your desert camp. Watch a spectacular sunset and enjoy a night of Berber music and stargazing under the vast Sahara sky.
Wake up early to catch the sunrise over the dunes before breakfast. Depart toward Fes via Errachidia and the Middle Atlas Mountains. Stop for lunch in Midelt or Zayda, then continue through the Cedar Forest—home to Barbary monkeys. Visit Ifrane, known as “Little Switzerland” for its alpine-style architecture and cool climate. Continue to the imperial city of Fes, arriving in the evening to relax at your riad.
Enjoy a full-day guided tour of Fes, Morocco’s cultural and spiritual heart. Visit Al-Qarawiyyin University, Bouanania Madrasa, and Bab Boujloud Gate. Explore the medina, Attarine Madrasa, Dar Batha Museum, and the tanneries. Discover the Royal Palace and the Jewish Quarter (Mellah). After lunch at a local restaurant, continue exploring Fes before returning to your riad for the evening.
After breakfast, drive north through Ouazzane and Sidi Chahed Lake to reach the stunning Chefchaouen in the Rif Mountains. Stroll through the blue-painted medina, visit Outa el Hammam Square and the Kasbah Museum, and explore artisan shops filled with textiles, spices, and handmade crafts. Enjoy a peaceful evening soaking up Chefchaouen’s charming, bohemian atmosphere.
After breakfast, enjoy a relaxed morning in Chefchaouen before your final transfer. Depending on your travel plans, your driver will take you to Marrakech, Tangier, Rabat, or Casablanca. This flexibility allows you to end your Moroccan journey wherever best suits your itinerary.
