Come and prepare your own cup of coffee by learning secret to the perfect cup of coffee from the local Chagga group. We will make you visit a coffee farm and learn how coffee is grown, harvested and processed. After a delightful coffee break you’ll take a beautiful 45-minute hike through the hills and valleys en route to the Materuni Falls while passing through banana and coffee plantations, up and down mini-valleys, across ridges and through narrow splashing rivulets. You will be escorted with a guide who will brief you of the local plants and how they are used for food and traditional medicine, as well as giving you more insight into the local Chagga culture.Using the short but challenging route to the Materuni Falls, you can stand under the waters as they cascade into a tranquility pool that’s safe for taking shower.
Commence your tour with a panoramic view up the lush slopes and around Materuni village. This beautiful village is home to Chagga ethnic groups, famous for its aromatic as well as rich in coffee.
