Tour Introduction

Tanzania Camping Safari is a unique way of enjoying the African safari in Tanzania. It is not only affordable but it is a great adventure to take in Africa. Imagine yourself under canvass under the African clear sky with Stars shining above you, or sitting around a campfire in the middle of nowhere in a public campsite at the centre of Serengeti National Park’s endless Savannah plains. Pinnacle Adventures and Safaris make it happen regardless of what leads you into choosing a camping Safari in Tanzania. Right in the heart of the African wilderness; sitting around a campfire and sleeping amidst the sounds and roars of night predators comes with a special feeling of adventure. We provide all camping gear during your safari and serve freshly cooked food that is prepared by our experienced safari cooks. Our cook and driver do all the camp set up for you and you only participate in that if you are after an active adventure.

Manyara park is placed at the most dramatic wildlife area in Tanzania & consisting of a huge shallow salt Lake covering almost two-third of the park & lies at the base of the Great Rift Valley’s Western escapement. Rich and varied habitats in this park attract a variety of animal species which include herds of buffalo, zebra, giraffe, wildebeest, warthog, African elephant, the famous Lake Manyara tree-climbing lions and countless numbers of flamingos attracted by green algae in the Lake. Packed lunch will be served inside the Park. Distance: 175 km Non-game-viewing time: 3 to 4 hours On this day, short Tanzania camping safaris take you for an early morning hunting with bushmen including short tuition on survival skills. The bushman at Lake Eyasi is divided into small groups of Hadzebe, Tindiga and Datoga living in hunting with bow and arrows, feed on roots and wild fruits just as much as humankind lived in the Stone Age. Afterwards, you will come back to the campsite for a full breakfast before departing for Serengeti National Park, the driving is along the beautiful high lying farmland of Karatu up to Ngorongoro main gate & across Ngorongoro Conservation Area at (2,300 m). You will stop at the Crater viewpoint for some great pictures of the Ngorongoro Crater floor from the rim. Then drive down to the heart of “The wild Africa” Serengeti National Park with its endless rolling plains. You can as well see other predators coming back from their long night of hunting or a group of lionesses organizing morning ambush and other animals waking up ready to start their new day. If the Wildebeest Migration will be in Serengeti you will go straight to where they are & spend much time with the herds before starting your en-route game drive toward Ngorongoro highlands. This is among few places in the world where you can find black rhino in their natural habitats. Another drawcard in this picturesque Crater is the dense population of predators which include lions, cheetah, Jackals, hyenas & the mysterious leopard that needs a binocular eye to spot. You will also visit Lake Magadi larger but shallow salt Lake at the southwest corner of the crater floor frequently visited by hippos, flocks of flamingos & other aquatic birds.
