The journey begins at Tarangire National Park for a game drive. Tarangire is the largest National park in the Manyara, characterized by the large herds of elephants, tree-climbing lions, and the fascinating baobab trees known as the tree of life for their almost mythical powers that some cultures attach to them. This park is known for the Tarangire River flowing all year round and is the only water source for wild animals during dry seasons. You will have lunch around 1300 hours at the picnic site with a view of the Tarangire River at the bottom while animals are gulping water. From around 1700 hours you will start your journey to Karatu for an overnight at Acacia Farm Lodge. Begin your day with an early start. After your morning breakfast, you will begin your journey to the Ngorongoro Conservation Area. You will then descend onto the Ngorongoro Crater floor around 4:30 AM. The world's largest volcanic caldera is intact and unfilled. It offers a massive floor spanning approximately 260 sq km (161 sq mi) and reaching a depth of over 2,000 feet. During the 6-hour game drive on the crater floor, you will encounter a plethora of wildlife, including African elephants, buffaloes, black rhinos, hippos, hyenas, cheetahs, and lions. Keep your camera ready to capture these incredible sightings. After the game drive, enjoy a picnic lunch at the picturesque Ngoito Hippo pool. After breakfast, you'll have the opportunity to enjoy a full-day game drive in the park.
